Another Honor V8 Max Variant With Kirin 955 Chipset Spotted on TENAA Listing

Another variant of Huawei Honor V8 Max with the Kirin 955 chipset has been spotted on the website of Chinese telecommunication certification authority (TENAA).

According to Gizmo China, the Kirin 950 chipset version of Honor V8 Max was spotted recently spotted on the certification website. TENAA did not list the name of the processor, but the listing shows the CPU clocked speed at 2.3 GHz in addition to supporting entire network, making it easy to confirm that it is another variant of Honor V8 Max. The clocking frequency shifts from 2.3 GHz to 2.5 GHz, meaning this newer version will possibly have a Kirin 955 SoC that is clocked at a speed of 2.5 GHz.

The Honor V8 Max comes in two storage variants; one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and another with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, Mobile Scout reported. Both versions have a 6.6-inch quad high-definition AMOLED display with a huge 2K resolution. Both devices feature a 13-megapixel camera at the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. They are packed with a massive 4400 mAh battery and run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Both versions of the Honor V8 Max come with a fingerprint scanner at the back. The connectivity options of both devices include 4G LTE, 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB slot. Its dimensions are 178.8 x 90.9 x 7.2 millimeters with a weight of 219 grams.

There are rumors that the device would be unveiled next month, possibly on August 1, with a price tag of 1999 yuan ($450).
