Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oukitel has released a video highlighting some of the features of its upcoming device, the Oukitel U7 Plus, which is an upgraded version of the U7 Pro. Among the new features added to the Plus model is a 360-degree rear fingerprint scanner.

Unlike the previous model, the Oukitel U7 Plus has a 5.5-inch HD panel which is equipped with a 2.5D arched glass. There is also a new LED notification light, according to Phone Radar.

While Oukitel made some interesting upgrades on the U7 Plus, a majority of it are made under the hood. According to Giz China, the new Oukitel U7 Plus sports an upgraded MT6737 chipset with a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 2GB of memory, and 16GB of built-in storage which is expandable via the microSD card slot.

The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. Despite these interesting upgrades, the Oukitel U7 Plus has a body made of plastic, something that might not sit well with some users. However, Oukitel coated it with a shiny polish to add a degree of aesthetic appeal to the device. The smartphone is available in three color options: champagne gold, rose gold, and space gray.

Oukitel is yet to announce the official price of the U7 Plus. However, considering the company's previous releases, many believe that the Oukitel U7 Plus will be budget-friendly. The official release date has not been confirmed as well, but there are rumors that it would hit the market before the end of the month.
