Mystery Xiaomi Device Gets China 3C Approval

A mysterious Xiaomi device bearing the number 2,016,090 was recently spotted in a listing posted on the China Compulsory Certification (3C) website. The certification revealed that the Xiaomi device has a 5V/2A charger and supports all available networks.

There are rumors that the mystery Xiaomi device is the highly anticipated Xiaomi Redmi Pro or the Redmi Note 4.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was recently a subject of a retail box leak, which revealed some of the device's specs. The leak revealed that the Note 4 would have a Helio X20 chipset from MediaTek and a 5.5-inch display. The device will also come with 3GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage space. It will have a 13-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The device will be powered by a massive 4,100mAh battery pack, according to GSM Arena.

There have also been some leaked photos of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro. The leaked photos reveal that the Pro will sport a deca-core Helio X25 chipset, also from MediaTek. There are speculations that the device will come with the Mali-T880 MP4 graphics processing unit. The device is expected to sport a dual-camera setup; two 12-megapixel rear cameras with a Sony IMX260 and an ISOCELL S5K2L1 sensors. The device would be powered by a 7300mAh battery pack.

Xiaomi is set to unveil these devices at a major upcoming event scheduled for July 27. At the event, the company is expected to unveil the Redmi Pro, Redmi Note 4, and possibly the first Xiaomi laptop, according to Giz China.
