Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) commentator Joe Rogan recently wondered why people do not like light heavyweight champion Jonny "Bones" Jones more. The answer he came up with was racism.

During Rogan's podcast - The Joe Rogan Experience - he asked why Jones isn't more popular in the world of sports today.

Jones certainly has the resume' to be one of the most famous athletes in the world today.

First of all, he has an impressive record of 20 wins and one loss. The one loss was only due to disqualification for throwing illegal elbows on the ground.

The wins he has compiled are not from talentless competitors. He has faced the best of the best, sweeping up most of the light heavyweight division.

In addition, he holds numerous records in the UFC such as the longest winning streak in the light heavyweight history, most submission victories in the division, and holds the distinction of being the youngest champion in UFC history.

This leads Rogan to wonder why Jones isn't more loved or more popular than he is.

Certain people say that it is Jones' confidence and cockiness that they do not like.

However, Rogan is quick to counter that if the fighter were white, people would not react the same. He cites the "American Gangster" Chael Sonnen as an example.

While he was never the athlete that Jones was, Sonnen is known for his tough talk and ability to promote fights. And people love him for it.

"Because I think they look at him as this cocky black guy and I think a lot of people have an issue with that," Rogan says.

With regards to his cockiness, Jones recently said in an interview that he accepted it. He said that if you are in the best in the world, you have to act and believe in it.

Recently, he brawled with upcoming contender Daniel Cormier during a UFC media day. He was also caught spewing scathing words at Cormier when the cameras were left on them during a break for a sports interviewing program.
