Vernee Apollo Lite Receives First OTA Firmware Update

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vernee is known for its regular firmware updates. True to its practice, the company is rolling out the first over the air (OTA) firmware update for the Vernee Apollo Lite.

Vernee recently rolled out the fourth firmware update for the Vernee Thor.

According to Giz China, the recent Vernee Apollo Lite update comes with a feature that optimizes sound outputs and voice calls. The firmware update also includes performance enhancing tweaks for the device's main camera, which equips it with PDAF and dual LED flash. The phone's fast charging technology is also set to receive some improvement. The update should also fix notable application bugs and third-party app optimization problems.

The Vernee Apollo Lite has a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 2.5 arc with Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by a MediaTek MTK6797 with a deca-core processor, 4GB of memory, and 32GB of storage space which can be expanded up to 128GB. It has a fingerprint scanner, supports dual SIM setup, and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Vernee Apollo Lite has a 16-megapixel rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfie shots, according to Gear Best. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports 4G networks. The device has a 3,180mAh non-removable battery pack which should be enough to last for at least a full day of usage.
