Lowly clubs Tianjin Teda FC (5-7-9, 24 points) and Shandong Luneng Taishan FC (6-11-5, 23 points) are scheduled to square off at the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium on August 20, Saturday for a 2016 Chinese Super League season encounter.

Tianjin Teda is coming off a 2-2 draw with bottom two squad Shijiazhuang Ever Bright FC at the Yutong International Sports Center last Saturday, Xinhuanet reported.

Right winger Hu Rentian scored the opening goal of the contest with an impressive individual move at the 23rd minute but Shijiazhuang's Portuguese import Ruben Micael managed to knot the count at the 36th with his own one-on-one with goalkeeper Yang Qi to make it 1-1 at the halftime break.

Ever Bright then took the lead a minute after the hour mark when its other import, Brazilian striker Matheus, converted an assist from Micael.

It looked like another loss for the Tianjin Tigers as the minutes ran down, but vice-captain Cao Yang was able to find the equalizer at the 85th to salvage the draw and a share of a point in the overall standings.

It was the ninth consecutive winless game for head coach Jaime Pacheco's side, though, as they settle at the 13th spot of the current league table.

Meanwhile, Shandong Luneng snapped a two-game losing slide with a 2-1 win over contending squad Guangzhou R&F at the Yuexiushan Stadium on Sunday, as per Soccerway.

The Blue Lions netted the first goal with a strike by Brazilian winger Renatinho off a brilliant cross from Israeli forward Eran Zahavi at the 32nd minute to give the hosts the early lead.

Argentine midfielder Walter Montillo immediately responded only a minute later with the equalizer as he effectively directed Italian striker Graziano Pellè's shot towards the goal of Guangzhou keeper Han Feng.

The score remained tied at 1-1 until the 63rd minute when midfielder Liu Binbin scored the winning goal from a Hui Jiakang assist to give manager Felix Magath's side its fifth unbeaten performance in its last seven outings.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 victory for Shandong Luneng.
