SIPG advanced in the quarters of Asian's premier club continental competitions after defeating J. League Division 1 side FC Tokyo in the Round-of-16 last May via a 2-2 on aggregate decision with the CSL club winning on away goals.

The Red Eagles managed to nip the Japanese capital city team, 1-0, also at their own home stadium on May 24, to preserve their away goal in the first leg of their matchup, as per CCTV English.

However, head coach Sven-Göran Eriksson is hoping that new summer signing Hulk would be available in this match after going through a thigh injury as well as midfielder Dario Conca, who recently injured his knee in their most recent domestic league game.

Meanwhile, Jeonbuk eliminated Australian team Melbourne Victory for the second straight year in the knockout stage of the said tournament with a 3-2 on aggregate win also in May.

The Green Warriors turned back the Victory challenge with a 2-1 win in the second leg of their last 16 clash also on May 24 at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium in Jeonju, South Korea to qualify in the final eight, ESPN reported.

Head coach Choi Kang-hee will also feature a new import in Brazilian striker Ricardo Lopes replacing fellow Brazilian Luis Henrique, who moved to South Korean second division team Gangwon FC.

It is an expected win for Shanghai if Hulk and Conca will play on Tuesday. But if not, a close win for either side after a tough 90 minutes is anticipated.

The predicted result is a 2-1 win for Shanghai SIPG.
