Nokia has announced that it is bringing its highly-rated Ozo 360 degree camera to China. The Ozo 360 is regarded as a one-of-its kind 360 degree virtual reality camera. Nokia is planning to sell the Ozo 360 in China through its partnership with LeEco.

The Nokia Ozo comes with a hefty price tag of $60,000. Since the price might instantly deter some enthusiasts from purchasing the camera, Nokia decided to slash its price down to $45,000 only.

Nokia claims that the Ozo is the world's first "professional" virtual reality camera. The Ozo features a teardrop shape and holds eight cameras with 2K resolution. The camera is able to capture a full 360-degree video as well as surround sound to create a truly immersive virtual reality experience.

According to Tech Node, Nokia has partnered with LeVR, LeEco's virtual reality division, to distribute the Ozo camera in China. Considered as one of the premiere drivers of virtual reality in China, LeEco launched the company's first virtual reality headset, the LeVR Cool 1, back in December 2015. Unlike most virtual reality headsets that support multiple platforms, the LeVR Cool 1 only supports LeEco smartphones.

Nokia's entry into the Chinese tech market is considered by many analysts as a strategic move to secure a place in the country's budding virtual reality industry. It is important to note that as low-cost virtual reality headsets are starting to flood the Chinese market, virtual reality arcades are also receiving major patronage.
