"Kill Me, Heal Me," became an instant hit and amassed a huge fan following soon after it premiered last year, not only in South Korea but also in other Asian countries, especially China.

In addition to Ji and Hwang, the original also starred Park Seo-joon, Oh Min-suk, and Kim Yoo-ri. Ji played the role of a man who suffers from dissociative identity disorder and has seven different personalities. Ji's performance in the drama impressed audiences and his acting talent also won him the Daesang.

The Chinese version of the Korean drama, categorized as a thriller/idol drama, will be renamed as "Seven Egoes" and will feature lead actors younger than the ones that featured in the original, giving fans a different perspective on the TV series. Nhat Truong Son will reportedly play the male lead in the Chinese reboot while Thai Van Tinh has apparently been signed on to play the female lead, according to KenH.

"Kill Me, Heal Me" went on to become one of the most successful dramas in 2015 and won several awards including "Drama of the year" at the MBC Drama Awards.

Let's just hope the Chinese remake of "Kill Me, Heal Me" is just as successful as the original. Stay tuned for updates!
