Xiaomi has unveiled a smartwatch for adults called Amazfit Watch.

The Amazfit is manufactured by Huami, Xiaomi’s ecosystem partner responsible for the Mi Band, according to Digital Trends. Xiaomi claims that Amazfit is the world's first smartwatch to pack a 28nm GPS sensor.

The Android-compatible watch comes with IP67 certification, which means it is resistant to water, dust, and sweat. The device has a ceramic bezel to keep it safe from unwanted scuffs and scratches round the edges. The smartwatch features a single physical button on the right side to unlock it. The strap on the watch comes in a dual-color.

The watch offers a 1.34-inch display with a resolution of 300 x 300 and runs on a 1.2GHz processor along with 512MB of RAM. It has 4GB of onboard storage. Its 200mAh battery can last up to five days on a full charge, or 35 hours if the GPS sensor is enabled.

The Amazfit features numerous activity-tracking sensors and software. It has Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Wi-Fi radios, a heart rate sensor, and NFC. Xiaomi’s latest wearable does not run on Android Wear but features Xiaomi’s Mi Fit app on Android and iOS to deliver functionality such as mirroring incoming social media messages, texts, calls, and reminders.

Xiaomi Amazfit also supports AliPay, Alibaba’s mobile payment service, Android Authority reported. The device is priced at CNY 799 ($120) and is available on TMall website. Xiaomi is set to start shipping the smartwatch in China. There has been no official announcement on when the smartwatch would be launched in other markets.

The Amazfit is not Xiaomi’s first wearable in the market. The company launched its smartwatch division in 2014 with the Mi Band and has since invested in other projects such as the kid-focused smartwatch Mi Bunny.
