Chinese smartphone manufacturer TCL launched its newest flagship model, the TCL 520, in Beijing on Thursday. The TCL 520 is dubbed as a "Beauty Phone," a marketing strategy many believe can be proven by the phone's beatification features.

The TCL 750 flagship smartphone is already out in the market, and the TCL 520 is tagged as a spiritual successor to the device. In fact, the two devices look similar, with the 2.5D curved panels, metal chassis and overall thickness of just 7.45mm. Just like its predecessor, the TCL 520 will be available in two colors: black and white.

According to Giz China, the most noticeable feature that separates the TCL 520 from its predecessor is the new special temperature LED flash. The new LED flash technology is believed to be part of the TCL 520's "Beauty" features.

Based on its specs, the TCL 520 flagship phone will be a bit of a lowdown. At its heart is the MediaTek MT6373 chipset with 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage space. In an age where battery power is one of the most crucial factors in choosing a device, TCL decided to equip the 520 with a rather underpowered 2460mAh battery pack.

The TCL 520 will have a 13-megapixel rear facing main camera with F2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel shooter with F2.4 aperture in front.

The TCL 520 "Beauty phone" is expected to hit the market before the end of the month and will have a price tag of around $190.
