The Sacramento Kings are reportedly ready to finally trade DeMarcus Cousins, and the Portland Trail Blazers is the latest club rumored to be interested in pursuing a deal.

Latest rumors suggest that the Blazers are looking for a superstar big man to team up with their backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, intending to form their own "Big Three" in Portland.

The Blazers are projected as a top four team in the stacked Western Conference this season. However, the management is said to be aware that they need to have a stable frontcourt as well in order to compete with the likes of the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, and even the Cleveland Cavaliers should they reach the NBA Finals.

With that premise, Cousins has become one of Portland's targets before the league's February trade deadline arrives, as per Sportsrageous. It was not clear, though, what assets will the Kings demand in exchange for the two-time All-Star.

At the moment, Blazers head coach Terry Stotts has Mason Plumlee and Al-Farouq Aminu as his starting bigs, and both could be included in the package to acquire Cousins.

Bleacher Report noted that Portland's buying spree in the recent summer could mean asset accumulation and they could definitely utilize some of them if the team really wants to get Cousins.

The Blazers has three starting-quality wing players right now with Allen Crabbe, Evan Turner, and Maurice Harkless. They also have big men Meyers Leonard and former Golden State Warriors Festus Ezeli on the bench as possible trade pieces as well.

However, recent reports said that teams that are interested in trading for Cousins are having a hard time completing a deal because Sacramento is asking too much in return.

One anonymous Eastern Conference general manager said that the Kings "think Cousins is worth more than he actually is," which has delayed any potential trades involving the former Kentucky standout from happening.
