There are trade rumors emerging that the Chicago Bulls could pursue Brooklyn Nets big man Brook Lopez in midseason to potentially reunite him with his twin brother Robin in supporting the team's "Three Alphas" of Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo, and Jimmy Butler.

Lopez has been the subject of a lot of trade rumors since the end of last season as the Nets are reportedly planning to undergo a full rebuild. Without any draft picks until the summer of 2019, Brooklyn can achieve their goals via trades and free-agency.

Speculations abound that the Nets might choose the former to expedite the process. At the moment, Lopez, 28, is the club's most valuable trade asset, and some NBA analysts suggest that Brooklyn's rebuild should begin by trading the former All-Star center.

Lopez has been linked to several teams just before the start of the new season, namely, the Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, and New Orleans Pelicans, but no deal pushed through.

According to Sportsrageous, the Bulls are the latest interested team to inquire about Lopez as Chicago is rumored to be planning to reunite the Lopez brothers in the Windy City. Two players entered the league at the same time in 2008 with Brook selected 10th and Robin picked at no. 15.

Brook stayed with the Nets franchise in all of his so far eight years in the NBA, while Robin has been a journeyman, playing for the Suns, Hornets, Blazers, and Knicks before settling with the Bulls this summer.

Inquisitr noted that adding Brook would form a twin tower frontcourt for the Bulls, assuming that head coach Fred Hoiberg would start them both. If the brothers can play well together, as they did in college at Stanford, then the possibilities are endless for Chicago.

Brook has even increased his current trade value after improving his jump shot in the offseason. He has added the three-point shot to his arsenal this season, which would help the Bulls space the floor for the slashing drives of Wade and Butler.

Getting Lopez would be a huge advantage for the Bulls, but it would be interesting to see what assets the Nets would demand in return for their prized center.
