Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that its device - the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone - is set to launch in India this coming Jan. 19. The highlight of the smartphone is its metallic build design and a deca-core processor.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone was initially launched in China in August last year. The smartphone is made available in two variant models - 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM priced at CNY 899 (approximately $129/Rs. 9,000) and 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM storage model cost at around CNY 1,199 (approximately $173/Rs. 12,000).

To recall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display screen with a pixel density of 401 ppi. Under the hood, the device is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The handset supports an expandable storage via a microSD card of up to 128GB.

On the photography side, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), and dual-tone LED flash support. On the front is a 5-megapixel front sensor that supports 85-degree wide angle lens. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, coupled with Xiaomi's latest MIUI 8 user interface laid on top. Fueling the device is a 4,100mAh battery.

Other features the device offers include dual-SIM (Micro+Nano), infrared sensor, GPRS/ EDGE, fingerprint scanner, Micro-USB, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and Glonass. The device measures a body dimension of 151 x 76 x 8.35mm and weighs around 175 grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi Not 4 smartphone is available in Gold, Gray, and Silver colors.
