Huawei to Unveil P10 Officially at MWC 2017

Huawei has confirmed that they will hold a press conference during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, suggesting that the company will finally unveil its next flagship smartphone, the P10.

The press conference will be held on Feb. 26 and Huawei will mostly make MWC a leverage to launch its next mobile flagship and may officially available in March or April. The Chinese tech firm plans to launch two models of the smartphone – the P10 and P10 Plus, which are aimed to different market targets because they have difference in specifications.

Recently, leaked images of P10 were spotted on Weibo, suggesting that P10 Plus will boast a dual-edge curved display and the P10 will include a flat screen. The forthcoming P10 seems to be employing a Huawei P9-like all-metal body, with a tiny glass trim at the back of the phone surrounding the two cameras.

Both mobile devices are powered by by HiSilicon Kirin 960 S0C comes with four 2.4GHz cores, four 1.8GHz cores and an improved onboard 900MHz Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. Both P10 and P10 Plus will run Android 7.0 Nougat.

Huawei P10 will have 5.2-inch Full HD LCD display with 1920 × 1090 screen resolution while P10 Plus features 5.5-inch AMOLED Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 screen resolution. For P10, it will have 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of internal storage while P10 Plus will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Huawei is expected to equip the upcoming smartphone with dual Leica-branded cameras. The fingerprint scanner will be placed in front, which is embedded below the screen. Both mobile devices will be available in three color variants: Gold, Blue, Black, and Silver. 

Details on the pricing scheme are not yet confirmed. However, reports say that Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will be the most expensive mobile device in Huawei's P-series to date.
