(Photo : Reuters) The mini-war happening on cyber networks is starting to heat up between the two global superpowers, U.S. and China, with both nations denying their involvement.

China and U.S. are claiming each other is attacking their business and government server, in order to take information and potentially break systems in the country.

So far, neither country has launched a full-scale cyber attack to break any systems, but both are claiming mass information has been stolen. However, on the public face both deny actually attacking the country, even though in secret files leaked by Edward Snowden, it shows the U.S. government would be interested in gaining competitive advantage through corporate espionage.

Lu Wei, the Minister of Cyberspace for China, revealed that in the past month 10,000 websites had been attacked by the U.S. government, alongside 80 percent of Chinese government websites.

Lu claimed China was "the world's main victim of cyber hacking," and that most of the attacks come from the U.S. This comes just a few weeks after five Chinese officials with links to the government were called out as hackers of U.S. government and business websites.

China has organized a conference in Wuzhen, Zhejiang where Alibaba's headquarters are found. The conference will last three days, and will include important officials from Alibaba, Baidu and Tencent, three of the top technology companies in China.

Apart from the Chinese companies, most of the attendees will be from the U.S. and will discuss matters to bring this cyber conflict to an end. It is expected that executives from Google, Facebook and other tech companies will be at the event, alongside government officials.

There will also be a showcase of the first 20 years of the Internet in China, showcasing some of the best companies and features to come from the Web.
