The iPhone 6 Plus features an ultra thin 7.1 mm body, so thin that different YouTube videos are outshowing how easily it bends.

Apple has consistently been saying the issue was blown out of proportion but it confirmed that nine customers had really bent iPhones. The lower part below the volume button is said to bend easily.

According to reports, the iPhone 6 Plus "bendgate issue" was quietly resolved. Reddit user doctorkuddles said he recently bought a 128 GB iPhone 6 Plus and noticed the difference from the 16 GB iPhone 6 Plus his wife bought ahead of him.

He claimed his wife bought an iPhone 6 Plus on Sept. 20 and its rear does not make the same sound when tapped.

Doktorkuddles is a doctor so he used a stethoscope to listen to both handsets. According to him, the newer phone sounded more solid than the older handset's percussion sound.

He also examined the devices with the use of a microscope and noticed a small red object in the volume down button. He said he can't prove anything except the newer unit was smoother and softer and that the tapping sounds had a night and day difference.

The 128 GB version is also heavier by 21 grams than the 15 GB version. Doctorkuddles didn't post any actual picture or video of his findings. Meanwhile, an iFixit expert said a newer unit was 0.8 grams heavier than the first day unit. He clarified their new unit doesn't weigh 21 grams more than an older one.
