Beats Solo2 Wireless - as the name would suggest - is the wireless version of the Solo2. The Solo2 model has a few advantages over the previous generation, including new audio revamp to offer better acoustics and bass.

Solo2 Wireless offers the same dynamic sound and streamlined design as Solo2, but with the added benefit of wireless capabilities. With its Bluetooth technology, Solo2 Wireless can move freely for up to 30 feet from your audio device. Take phone calls, skip songs, and change the volume using the "b" button and volume buttons on the ear cup. Its rechargeable battery allows you to enjoy up to 12 hours of wireless playback. Not charged? Not a problem. Just plug in the provided RemoteTalkTM cable and enjoy your music.

Beats Solo2 Wireless will be available in retail stores and on the Apple Store for $299.95 later this month. Verizon Wireless will exclusively sell the red edition at its online store and in retail stores nationwide. Black, white and blue options will be available in all other stores.

The announcement also comes with another semi-announcement, the new "Royal Edition" Solo2 wired colors. Beats will add a "satin, iridescent finish" to the Royal Edition, coming in five new colors: Hunter Green, Sapphire Blue, Imperial Violet, Blush Rose and Stone Grey.

Solo2 Wireless is not the first pair of wireless headphones Beats has sold, the Studio Wireless offers the same wireless features, but comes with a more expensive $379.95 price tag. The next wireless version will most likely be the Beats Pro, its $399 high-end option.
