(Photo : Android Central) Ad campaigns over the holiday season are normally crazy experience, but Google is taking the Android campaign to a whole new level.

Big companies normally have big budgets for the holiday season when it comes to advertizing. The amount spent on TV ads is insane, compared to the rest of the year.

Google is looking to join in on the festive spending, to promote the Android, Nexus and Chrome brand. Instead of just releasing a few videos, Google has decided to rent the largest screen in Time Square, from now till New Year.

The 25,000 square-feet screen makes for a prime-time seat in Times Square. Reports say the screen will be seen by over 300,000 people each day, and when it is animated, the screen is bound to attract even more attention from locals and tourists alike.

To kick off the month and a half of renting the screen, Google is promoting Android. People can interact by using the Androidify app, available on the Google Play Store, to put their own avatar up on the big screen and compete in mini-games.

The event will last a full week. Players will be able to play the mini-games by stepping up onto the podium and moving the character. Kinect sensors will track the movement of the user and show it on the big screen.

Google has not made it clear what they will advertize next, but we can expect Chrome OS and Nexus to be shown on the billboard at some time. Google is clearly out to make sure everyone knows they own the Android brand, with misconceptions brewing for years.

In the past, Google has not made such a big advertizing effort. Android is already a notable product, but Google is clearly unsatisfied about something and wants to make sure everyone knows the brand's name.

The billboard currently costs $2.5 billion to rent for a month. Google is already paying for a month and a half in advance, alongside various TV ads and apps specifically for the purpose of advertizing.

Google recently announced Android 5.0 Lollipop, along with the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Both devices are available on the Google Play Store.
