MVP Chants Rain After JJ Watt's Impressive Performance Against Titans

J.J. Watt, defensive end for the National Football League's (NFL) Houston Texans, just scored his fifth touchdown of the season, in a 45-21 win over the Tennessee Titans.

The fans from Texans filled the stadium with chants of "MVP." And it was all aimed at Watt.

The chants came after a strip sack from Watt, followed by a fumble recovery and a 14-yard return.

However, Watt wasn't done for the game.

Only two plays later, Watt did what he was meant to do, when he caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. This brought the Texans up 45-14 over the Tians.

This marked the sixth touchdown pass Fitzpatrick had thrown in a game, setting a new franchise record.

Apart from that, Fitzpatrick also threw a career-best of 358 yards in his first start no less after being benched the past two games for Ryan mallet, who suffered a season-ending chest injury the previous week.

Watt also achieves an achievement of his own, as he becomes the first defensive lineman since 1944 to have at least five touchdowns all in one season.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Watt has become the first player to earn three offensive touchdowns and two defensive scores in a single season regardless of position.

The last to claim this feat was Joe Golding in 1948 who had four touchdown receptions and two interception returns as well.

ESPN Stats and Info also adds that the game against the Titans was Watt's second game in the last three weeks with a forced fumble, fumble recovery, and receiving touchdown.

In the last five seasons, no other player has done this feat.

Watt had three tackles, two sacks, one tackle for loss, six quarterback hits, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a receiving touchdown all in the game against the Tians.
