Rodgers threw for a total of 368 yards and two touchdown passes, while Eddie Lacy gained some tough yards on the ground. In the fourth, the defense of the Packers was enough to stop the Patriots from rallying with the win.
These factors could be the elements the Packers would need to get to the Super Bowl, and win in the end.
"We have some big goals, and we're getting into December football now with a chance with everything right in front of us," Rodgers said.
In the first half, Rodgers found Richard Rodgers and Jordy Nelson for long touchdowns.
Leading by five points, the Packers' defense made a stand and followed through. With zone coverage, Mike Daniels and Mike Neal combined to sack Brady on third down for a 9-yard loss.
Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski pushed a 47-yard field goal attempt wide to the right with 2:40 left on the clock.
The final nail on the coffin was when Rodgers converted to Cobb on third down, with the Patriots out of timeouts.
Head Coach Mike McCarthy said that the point total was enough to win the game. He also said that he thought the defense did a lot of good things, and that the end of the game is what you're looking for as a coach.
In a post-game interview, Brady said that he wished they would have won this game, as they put a lot into it. He adds that it was a great test for him and his squad.
