"Wanderers," an incredible new short film on Vimeo about the wonders of space exploration, features narration by the famous astronomer and physicist, Carl Sagan.

This short film is reminiscent of Sagan's original TV series, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, mixed with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson's, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.

Space exploration is big in pop culture with films such as Gravity and Interstellar and the success of the European Space Agency's comet landing mission sparking intergalactic interest in the public.

Swedish film maker and animator Erik Wernquist created this stunning short film that features Sagan's famous speech from his film, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space.

Wernquist, who's obviously a space enthusiast, took images and photos from space agencies all over the world and wove them into an interplanetary narrative that provides a vision of what extraterrestrial life could be like.

Since deep space exploration missions are already well underway, Wernquist takes the expanse of Mars and the horizons of Jupiter and Saturn to create a stunning deep space visual treat.

The film also features amazing vistas explored by humans and their robot drones. It also showcases the alien beauty of different moons and asteroids while detailing their terrain and atmospheres.

Throughout the three minute film, Sagan narrates his famous quotes that are tinged with wonder and reverence.

The astrophysicist's timeless words echo through the viewer's mind as they touch something primal in human nature: the human desire to explore alien worlds that brings out the wanderer in everyone.
