Apple Will Return Bose Products to Retail Stores

After two months off the shelves, Bose products will make a return to Apple's retail stores.

Bose products were kicked out of Apple Stores two months ago, but they may be returning soon. iGen.fr is reporting some Apple Stores have Bose products orders coming in this month, before the end of the holiday season.

The original reason behind kicking Bose was never disclosed by Apple, but considering the lawsuit between Apple-owned Beats Electronics and Bose, alongside the NFL deal forcing Beats off the TV, Apple may have seen it as a power play.

Beats recently settled the lawsuit with Bose and inside the clause may have been adding Bose products back to Apple's retail stores. There is still no way to find out if Bose has a significant sales point in Apple's retail stores.

Bose will definitely not get precedent over Beats now that the $3 billion acquisition has been complete. Apple wants to show off Beats headphones front and center, and will reportedly add Beats earbuds to the iPhone 6S.

Beats currently controls a large portion of the premium headphone market; Bose only manages 22 percent. For almost half a decade, Bose has been trying to reinvent its headphones around the Beats advertising and distribution model.

The NFL Beats ban has been taken as a humorous joke by co-founder of Beats Electronics Jimmy Iovine, saying "I can't believe I'm this lucky" and it makes Beats look like "superheroes", after the NFL fined Colin Kaepernick $10,000 for wearing Beats headphones.

Apple does not have to play fair with its own retail store. The company recently removed all of FitBit's products, reportedly due to the Apple Watch coming in 2015.

However, Bose does have a lot of patents and may have been able to strike a deal with the retailer, to make sure they keep Bose products on the Apple Store.
