The social networking site called Instagram is hoping to give users a more personalized experience by introducing some new photo editing features.
A total of 10 new editing features have been added to the photo site's iOS and Android apps giving users more control and allowing them to bridge the gap between 'photo geeks and the rest of the world'.

Until now, Instagram has relied primarily on preloaded filters to make changes, but the ten new changes will allow people to make changes to their photos independent of the filters.
Reportedly, the company has been working on the features for less than six months, and a comprehensive list of the new releases are:
Filter Strength: Tap on a filter to adjust the filter strength. (Border is now within Filter Strength; tap on a filter to add a border).
Brightness: Makes your photo brighter or darker.
Contrast: The bright areas of your photo becomes brighter and the dark areas darker.
Warmth: Shifts the colors of your photo towards either warmer orange tones or cooler blue tones.
Saturation: Controls the color intensity of the image.
Adjust: Images can be cropped and straightened your photo at the same time.
Shadows: Adjust the brightness focusing on the dark areas of the image.
Vignette: Darkens the edges of the photo and directs the attention away from the edges towards the center of the photo.
Sharpen: Adds a subtle crispness to images with providing it more clarity.
Highlights: Adjust the brightness focusing on the bright areas of the image.
The additions are a move on the networking site's part to position itself as a more comprehensive editing program.
More Instagram editing tools are reportedly on the way and will be added to the app as they are completed.
The Instagram 6.0 update has been rolled out today to iOS and Android and is available for users to download.
