American data storage company Seagate is preparing a range of products for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), coming to Las Vegas on Jan. 6 to Jan. 9.

The most interesting of the three products, from a consumer perspective, has to be the Seagate Wireless, a 500GB portable hard-drive capable of tapping into iOS storage.

Most companies shy away from iOS, due to Apple's barriers on storage, but using the Seagate Media app gets around the storage issue, offloading it into the wireless hard-drive.

For 16GB iPhone or iPad owners, this could be a savior, especially if there is a lot of photos and videos on the device. Things like apps, contacts and messages still need to be stored on the iOS device.

Even though services like Dropbox already offer full media uploads to the cloud, this is one of the first physical media drives, capable of working with iOS.

The Seagate Wireless will come in lime green, cool blue, slate gray, fire-engine red, and white. It will be available for $129.99 and Seagate will be previewing it at CES 2015.

Seagate also unveiled the 'Personal Cloud,' designed as an alternative cloud storage system. It looks to take over the user's personal storage with an encrypted server, capable of storing 3TB, 4TB or 5TB of data.

Using the Seagate Mobile Backup app, users will be able to deposit any type of media to the cloud storage system. The Seagate Media app will allow users to play media on smart TVs and mobiles, and it should run into no buffering or lag as a media streaming solution.

The Seagate Personal Cloud could also work for enterprise level workers, looking to set up a personal cloud away from the main system, as a backup. It will start at $169 and should also be available to view at CES 2015.

The last product on the launch list is the Seagate Seven, the thinnest portable hard-drive in the world. At 7mm thick, it is as thin as most smartphones, and can store 500GB of data. It will be available for $99.99.
