Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars Hold The Top Spot In UK music chart

According to the Official Charts Company, the song "Uptown Funk" by English DJ Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars has been kept in the top place for the British singles chart.

It had been considered as one of the best collaborations of 2014 and its catchy tune can vouch for that.

The track has been on top on its third non-consecutive week already, which also sets a streaming record of more than 2.5 million audio streams for the past seven days.

According to reports, "Uptown Funk" has earned a sales figure of over 156,000.

At the number two spot is the debut song, "Wish You Were Mine" by 21 year old DJ Philip George.  Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" came in third place.

In albums chart category, "Wanted On Voyage" by singer-songwriter George Ezra went back to number one, three months after it had topped the charts.

"Wanted On Voyage" pushed Ed Sheeran's album, "X" into second place. Thus displacing Sam Smith's "In The Lonely Hour" to third place.

X Factor Winner Ben Haenow is now in the fourth position dropping from second place with his single "Something I Need."

"Something I Need" was originally recorded by the band OneRepublic.

Kanye West's collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney, "Only One" placed 35th on the chart upon its release on January 1.

Rock Band Status Quo is one of the 50 artists who have remained on the charts on 500 weeks. Their album had peaked at number 5 in October 2014.

"Only One" was inspired by Kanye West's mother and he told the press that it was written from the perspective of his late mother.
