Another SpaceX rocket launch has been cancelled in Florida after a last-minute technical problem occurred on Tuesday delaying yet again a cargo run for the International Space Station that carries food and supplies for the crew.

SpaceX, or Space Exploration Technologies, had been on track for its liftoff with its 14th Falcon rocket. The Falcon 9 rocket is carrying a Dragon cargo ship that is filled with supplies for the space laboratory which is located 260 miles above the planet.

However, with less than two minutes from the launch at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, mission control's computer system detected a possible anomaly with a part of the equipment found in the rocket's upper stage motor says NASA launch commentator George Diller.

Once the team fixes this problem, the next launch is scheduled on Friday at 5:09 EST where the cargo will reach the ISS on Sunday.

When the launch is a success and the cargo is transported to the space station, SpaceX will use the discarded first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket for a breakthrough test. The booster will be reused yet again by using leftover fuel in order to ignite its engines again by landing back on the ground on a floating platform off Florida's east coast.

This marks the first reusable rocket ever to be made in the world and SpaceX intends to develop further refurbished and reflown rockets in order to cut down costs during launches.

According to SpaceX Vice President Hans Koenigsmann, this will have a massive impact across the whole space industry.

NASA station program manager Mike Suffredini says the Dragon capsule contains more than 5,100 pounds of food and supplies including scientific equipment where it will support the entire ISS crew for four to six months.
