Hot mugshot guy Jeremy Meeks, whose photo went viral after he was arrested in a weapons sweep, has spoken and, sorry ladies, but the famously good-looking criminal is apparently taken.

Meeks attained instant popularity online after the Stockton Police Department released his mugshot on their Facebook page and the photo received over 62,000 likes in a short amount of time. The majority of those swooning over the small-time criminal's baby-blues and chiseled good looks were women who released a barrage of remarks commenting on Meeks being able to pursue a career as a model or actor.

At the height of his 15 minutes of fame, Meeks himself has released a statement from prison letting all those drooling over his good looks know that he is married and has a 3-year-old son.

"Well I appreciate [the attention]. But I just want them to know that this is really not me, I'm not some kingpin," the 30-year-old said in a statement.

Stockton Police Department went one step further and tried to warn attracted men and women away by stating that Meeks is one of the "most violent criminals in the Stockton area."

Meeks was arrested on Wednesday in a gang-related bust dubbed Operation Ceasefire. Reportedly, the model criminal was carrying a concealed weapon.

However, his mother, Katherine Angier, insists that her son is innocent, claiming that Meeks was arrested on his way to work and stereotyped due to old tattoos the man sports on his neck and face.

Meeks' sister also stated that her brother was only armed for protection purposes and has been a practicing Christian for seven years.

Although it's hard to say how the situation will develop after Meeks' arrest, it's fair to assume that he won't be lacking in followers eager to see whether or not the young man's looks translate into a change of lifestyle after prison. Perhaps there is a modeling contract in Meeks' future?
