In a victory which truly gives animated head coach Miguel Herrera something to celebrate, Mexico's national soccer team took down Croatia with a 3-1 score, boosting the Mexicans into the round of 16 where they will go up against the Netherlands on Sunday.

The victory seemed almost too good to be true as Croatia and Mexico battled it out for almost the entirety of the game, without Mexico scoring a single goal. However, in the last 18 minutes of the game Mexico's team finally pulled through, scoring an incredible three goals in the short span of less than 10 minutes.

The match was anything but straight-forward as many experts pointed to sloppy playing and dubious moves on the part of both sides.

Mexico went into the game having only scored one goal in the entire World Cup while Croatia was bringing in five goals scored in previous matches. To many, it seemed as if Mexico would not be able to hold their own against Croatia's stand-up offensive.

But Mexico proved the world wrong and gave ecstatic fans something to cheer about - especially as Miguel Herrera lived up to his promise that Mexico would not draw but would instead claim victory in the match against Croatia.

Herrera has drawn an increasing amount of fan support recently due to his over-the-top character and his obvious faith and passion for Mexico's team. 2014 FIFA followers have frequently referred to the exuberant coach as someone who "wears his emotions on his sleeve," and he has been given the honorary title of having the absolute best reactions to goals of any coach participating in this year's World Cup.

Mexico's victory over Croatia will have definitely given the larger-than-life Herrera something to celebrate, but hopefully the winning streak will continue when the team takes on Holland, and fans can look forward to more energetic and enthusiastic reactions from one of the World Cup's favorite coaches.
