Things are looking up for the Cleveland Cavaliers, as they have won their 12th straight game in the 2014-2015 National Basketball Association (NBA) season.

The Cavaliers had a bright future and high hopes coming into the season. This was due to the quality players in their roster, as highlighted by Cleveland's prodigal son Lebron James, Phenom point guard Kyrie Irving, and the big man that shoots threes, Kevin Love.

It seemed that the stars aligned and the holy trinity came down to bless the Cavaliers with a great season.

However, it turned out to be the total opposite.

Despite the Cavalier's big three, they started their season in a slump. The team just couldn't pull it together and string together the number of wins people expected of them.

If sports has taught people anything though, it is that you should never count out any team or player in any sport who have the will to succeed. And talent, too.

Recently, the Cavaliers have been on a 12-game tear, with their latest victory coming over the Los Angeles Clippers (105-94).

James scored 32 points, while Love contributed 24 of his own. They sat atop the team's top-scorer list of the game.

In the third quarter, the Cavaliers built a 32-point lead that allowed for the top-scorers to rest up for the fourth quarter.

The 12th win - the longest win streak since their 13-game franchise best in 2010 - places them in first place of the Central Division.

Apart from the efforts of the players, it helped that the Clippers were called for five technical fouls, including four in the third, which saw the team lose their composure and Matt Barnes ejected.

Earlier this year, Doc Rivers said that the Cavaliers were in disarray. Now their team seems to be working as a unit and are rallying under their rookie head coach David Blatt.

All signs point to potential championship contention if the Cavaliers can keep up their hard work.
