Several former female employees of Goldman Sachs filed a court document on Tuesday confirming gender discrimination on the part of the global investment banking giant.

Goldman Sachs has been accused of fostering a 'boys' club' environment in which employees took part in binge drinking and trips to strip clubs.

According to reports, male employees at the banking company entertained clients at strip clubs on a routine basis, excluded female co-workers from client outings, denied women promotions, and referred to female employees as "bimbos."

The filing states that: "Women report a 'boy's club' atmosphere, where binge drinking is common and women are either sexualized or ignored."

Two former employees have requested that a Manhattan judge allow them to sue on behalf of former and present Goldman Sachs female employees and have presented some new evidence in hopes of hitting the firm hard.

Evidence includes statements of former employees, expert statistical analyses, and records of earnings and promotions which went on at Goldman Sachs during the employees' tenure.

Since the two women came forward to file the suit, the firm has been at the receiving end of several allegations brought up by other former Goldman Sachs employees.

One woman stated that after reporting a sexual assault which was carried out by a male co-worker, she was increasingly marginalized at work and eventually demoted.

Former vice president Denise Shelley told news sources that she often heard male co-workers talk about hiring women based on how attractive they were and then mocking their intelligence and calling them "bimbos."

In the lawsuit, which has been ongoing for the past four years, the women are seeking unspecified damages and looking to obtain an order which will require Goldman Sachs to fix the company's supposed gender bias.

Goldman Sachs has denied the allegations and has been fighting the case.
