LG has announced its third Android Wear smartwatch, the Watch Urbane, coming to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on March 1.

The new smartwatch will compete against the Apple Watch and will launch sometime in April. Both will sport a full metal design but the Watch Urbane will have a circular display similar to traditional watch faces.

It certainly looks dashing. The small watch face might be useful for people with small wrists and the LG wallpaper used on the Watch Urbane's press photos makes it look like a typical watch.

Internally, the Watch Urbane will feature a P-OLED display (320 x 320), Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage and a 410 mAh battery.

Android Wear on circular displays isn't the best, as we've seen with the Moto 360 that had to insert its drivers at the bottom of the display, one of the biggest complaints from customers.

LG managed to hide the drivers on the larger watch bezels, allowing a full screen without any black spots. The design could certainly compete with the Apple Watch but it's questionable why LG is moving on after only a few months with the LG G Watch R.

The G Watch R is another well designed smartwatch and features a sport-style watch design. The Watch Urbane looks to be a gentleman's watch.

Whatever the case, we expect LG to launch it alongside a new smartphone at MWC 2015.
