A gruesome turn in the case of a Georgia toddler who died after his father left him in a hot car has revealed that the young boy's parent was sexting multiple women while his son was dying.

Justin Ross Harris left his 22-month-old son, Cooper, strapped in a car seat for over seven hours while he was at work. During that time, Harris was sending explicit messages, some of which included nude pictures, to up to six women.

One of the women the offender was texting was reportedly underage.

The testimony is looked upon as a move by the prosecution to present Harris as an unfaithful husband who wanted to enjoy a child-free life.

On the day in which the 33-year-old father left his son to die, temperatures ranged as high as 92 degrees.

According to reports, after Harris finished his work day he got in his car and drove a short distance before stopping to check on Cooper.

Cobb County Chief Magistrate Frank Cox pointed to this as probable cause to move forward in the murder trial and charge Harris with child cruelty.

The magistrate said that the stench inside the car would have been unbearable if the child was already dead and stated that Harris' ability to drive for some time before checking on his son is suspicious.

Harris has pleaded not guilty to the charges, claiming that he forgot his son in the car and the child's death was an accident.

However, police uncovered internet searches leading up to Cooper's death on his father's laptop. The searches included how long it takes for an animal to survive in a hot car, and how to survive in prison, police stated.

Harris also faces charges for exploitation of a minor and illegal contact with a minor due to the questionable nature of his explicit sexts.
