Apple's Reworked Beats Music to Launch in June

Apple might be looking for a WWDC 2015 relaunch of Beats Music.

Apple is planning to relaunch Beats Music at its annual developers' conference, WWDC 2015. The music streaming service will reportedly feature a complete redesign with new social and channel tools alongside traditional music streaming.

It follows lackluster success from iTunes Radio, its Pandora-style streaming service. Apple will now go straight for Spotify with Beats Music, already partnering with all of the major music labels.

Apple will not offer a free version after issues with Taylor Swift and other artists who are unhappy with free music streaming on Spotify. The price will be undercut, however, potentially only costing $7.99 per month.

Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe has been picked up for Beats Music by Apple, pointing to some type of channel or playlist related feature. Apple might create radio channels inside Beats Music and users subscribe to a channel like Zane Lowe for a small price per month.

Internal conflict is apparently holding Apple from deciding on a few key features. Some of the Beats executives are unhappy with Apple's vision of the revamped music service.

This should all be sorted out by June this year and will come alongside the launch of iOS 9. Even though Beats Music will be shown off at WWDC 2015, there is no word on whether it will be released in June or will come in the iOS 9 package in October when the iPhone 6S launches.
