A TRON lightcycle is available for auction between $20,000 and $40,000.

TRON: Legacy was not the movie many hoped for when Walt Disney Studios announced the sequel to the 1982 film Tron, but it did bring a new Tron "lightcycle" into the market.

The Andrews Collection created a few of the lightcycles after the movie launched. One of the models has resurfaced, and will be on sale at Sotheby's auction for $20,000 to $40,000.

The lightcycle is fully functional, meaning it's more than just a sentimental object. It has a 96 volt electric motor, lithium batteries, hydraulic brakes, spring-loaded suspension and a kick-ass futuristic neon look.

In the movie, the lightcycles are used in battles and for traveling around the neon world of Tron. The difference between good and bad came from the neon colors, blue (the color of the lightcycle) referencing good or neutral, orange or red representing bad.

Some of these lightcycles have appeared in celebrity photos. Rapper Flo Rida showed off his own in a video "Wild Ones" although it's unconfirmed if he owns the bike.

It might cost a pretty penny to insure the lightcycle but for those paying over $40,000 for a B-class movie relic, we're sure money doesn't come into the equation.

Electric motorbikes aren't extremely popular in the U.S., but have shown some popularity in places like France, Portugal and Spain where the eco-friendly and cheap design of electric motorbikes are attractive to young people.
