Van Winkle was arrested back in February after he allegedly burglarized a home that was near the one he was renovating for his DIY renovation TV series, he was said to have stolen furniture, a bicycle and a heater.

At the time of his arrest the rapper explained that he had found the said items lying on a sidewalk near the home but according to a number of witnesses Van Winkle was seen taking the items from home that is now on the market for US$1.6 million.

In the agreement made between a judge and the rappers lawyers, he will be doing 100 hours of community service with Habitat For Humanity, Van Winkle will also pay US$1,100 in restitution as part of a pretrial deal.

A source close to Van Winkle also revealed that an agreement has also been set that if the rapper stays out of trouble for nine months, all the charges against him will be dropped.

Fortunately for Van Winkle, his TV show The Vanilla Ice Project has not been cancelled and a new season will start airing on Saturday.
