EU: Overtime Mission also casts Vincent Wong, Rebecca Zhu, Christine Kuo, Pal Sinn, Zoie Tam, Benjamin Yuen and Moon Lau.

This series also marks Chu's first role as a police officer and this requires moving around the streets using an emergency patrol car during filming.

Chu found this role very empowering though some people often perceive her to be an actual police officer.

"I was sitting inside the vehicle and a woman knocked on the window, asking me to save her from her drunk husband. I told her to call 999," said Chu, stating that this incident happened in Yuen Long.

Chu, often cast as a supporting character in previous dramas such as 'The Hippocratic Crush 2' and 'Tomorrow Is Another Day', finally gets the chance to demonstrate her acting skills as a lead actress. Chu is also part of TVB's new romantic comedy series, 'Smooth Talker'.

Actress Myolie Wu was initially offered Chu's role, but backed out due to a prior request to take a short break from filming.

Vincent Wong portrays a village chief and gives off a 'domineering' aura that resembles a mafia leader.

Wong said the role gave him a sense of accomplishment.

EU: Overtime Mission is produced by Lam Chi Wah, whose previous projects include 'Highs and Lows' and 'Tiger Cubs'. Both of the crime dramas generated positive reviews.

EU: Overtime Mission will complete filming in three months.
