Ed Sheeran Lambasted For 2011 Leaked 'Homophobic Rap' Video

Singer Ed Sheeran, who once called out anti-gay protestors outside a Taylor Swift concert last 2013, is currently lambasted for doing a 'homophobic rap', according to Daily Mail UK.

Sheeran appeared in a five minute video doing freestyle rap with rapper Devlin, which was dated last 2011. The video has been removed from the internet.

"Yo, I freestyle to the f-----y man. I go on the bus and I sleep for a day, then I come back and they're like, Ed you look like this gay," said Sheeran, through the alleged video, according to The Mirror.

The 24 year old crooner added in his rap compostion that the guys he was talking about were not actually gay. Sheeran's representative told the media that what Sheeran was rapping about was to convey a message to rappers who attack homosexuals, he emphasized on the fact that Sheeran was not a 'homophobic'.

The video was filmed two years before Sheeran reprimanded anti-gay protestors in a 2013 Taylor Swift concert, stating through Twitter that protestors should keep their offensive remarks to themselves.

The 'Thinking Out Loud' singer has been enjoying the success of his career as a musical artist lately. The singer thanked his loyal fanbase through social media last Wednesday.

Sheeran's streams through Spotify have reached up to 2 billion. Sheeran placed second next Eminem's top spot in the popular streaming website, he also gave credit to the site as the basic foundation for his success.

The singer, whose songs such as 'A Team' and 'Lego House' reached platinum in UK, has definitely come a long way from his humble beginnings of singing in a church choir.

Sheeran recently announced his upcoming tour in Australia and New Zealand in November. The venue will be in stadiums and ticket sales are set to commence within a week.

Sheeran's official representive still has to comment on the issue of the 2011 video.
