Kate Middleton, Duchess Of Cambridge, gave birth to a healthy baby girl at 8:34 AM BST last May 2, BBC News reports.

Kate was admitted to the Lindo Wing at the St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. This was also the same hospital where their first born son, Prince George was delivered last 2013.

The princess, fourth in line to the throne, was delivered safely and weighed approximately 3.7 kg.

Prince William was present at the time of his daughter's birth.

The Duchess and the princess are in good condition post-delivery.

"The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news," according to an official statement from Kensington Palace.

Prince Harry didn't make it to Kate Middleton's birth since he flew out to Australia last April 27 to attend to the second phase of Australian Army units in Perth and Sydney. Prince Harry's official tour to New Zealand will commence on May 9 and will end on May 16.

After fulfilling his Royal duties, Prince Harry will finally have the chance to see his niece.

Of course, the spectators of the Royal birth are not limited to family alone.

The reporters and loyal fans crowded outside the Lindo Wing, anticipating the princess' delivery.

When the news broke at 11:00 AM that Kate had just given birth to a daughter, two hours after her admission, the crowd cheered in delight. Following the royal tradition, an official town crier made his own birth announcement.

However, the Royal Princess' birth doesn't clear out the crowd. The multitudes of people outside Lindo Wing are still waiting for the Royal Family to step outside the hospital in order to catch a glimpse of the 'Princess of Cambridge'.

As the second time parents stepped out of the Lindo Wing, they were greeted by warm cheers from the crowd. Wearing her hair down, Kate wore a yellow sundress and she was holding the princess in her arms.

The new addition to the Royal Family will be inroduced to her grandparents in Kensington Palace.

The princess is the Queen's fifth great grandchild and the name will be officially announced soon.
