The singer's security staff immediately grabbed him. As it was not immediately known that the white substance is powdered sugar, LAPD was also notified on an urgent basis, according to ET Online.

Farsi was arrested by the police officials on suspicion of battery, L.A. Now reported. He was arrested around 8 pm while the official records from the Sheriff's Department also revealed that his bail is set at $20,000.

Farsi's intentions behind the attack are not known at all. Whether it was a protest of some kind or just a joke on Maroon's hit "Sugar" is yet to be known.

In the past, other celebrities have also been bombed with kitchen substances. It can be noted that socialite and wife of rapper Kanye West - Kim Kardashian - has been "flour-bombed" three years ago.

This is not the first time that Levine has been assaulted, as in the past, a fan attacked him onstage during his performance in Anaheim.

The incident unnerved the singer and he later talked about it and said that it was very terrifying. He said that he was in a beautiful spot, he was totally engrossed in singing with his eyes closed and suddenly out of the blue, he was attacked. He was shaken quite a bit during the attack and the security stepped up and took the woman into custody.
