Rumors had been swirling around the league that top Denver Nuggets standouts Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried are currently unhappy with the team and wants to be traded.

According to Bleacher Report's Thomas Duffy, Lawson and Faried did not want to be a part of any long rebuild, and so they would rather get traded except if the management changes the team's fortunes by making a significant coaching change or taking in another superstar via a trade.

Last season was a forgettable one for the Nuggets as they finished with a 30-52 win-loss record, fourth from the last in the mighty Western Conference. Worse, the starting point guard and forward are disgruntled by its former head coach Brian Shaw, whose team vision was resisted by both players ever since the season began in October of last year.

The team's struggles were culminated by the firing of Shaw in early March of this year. Even with interim head coach Melvin Hunt, Denver was clearly out of direction for the remainder of the season, finishing their last 23 games without Shaw having a 10-13 slate.

While the 5-foot-11 Lawson is a potential franchise player, the Nuggets management are having problems of him not being one hundred percent willing to join the long term plans of the team, as reported by Basketball Insider's Steve Kyler.

Kyler wrote that Lawson is the best trading chip that the Nuggets possess right now, and both parties are said to be amenable to it. With the current lack of top point guards in the Eastern Conference, it could be a probable destination for the former Tar Heel.

Meanwhile, the 6-foot-8 Faried is reportedly being eyed by the East's last season fourth seed Toronto Raptors to fill in their noticeable weakness in the frontcourt, as per Digital Journal's Larry Seely.

The Raptors, who had a very successful 2014-2015 regular season (49-33), was swept in the first round by the Washington Wizards. It was quite evident in the series that their bigs composed of Jonas Valanciunas, Tyler Hansborough, and Amir Johnson are no match against the Wizards' trio of Marcon Gortat, Nene Hilario, and Kris Humphries.

The undersized forward, also known as "The Manimal" because of his tenacious and unrelenting style of play, would be a perfect fit for Toronto. The team finished the season with only 41 rpg, one of the lowest in the league.
