Top Rank Founder and Chief Executive Bob Arum said that he is more than willing to have Manny Pacquiao fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. at least three times when the Filipino is healthy and has fully recovered from his shoulder operation and as long as the undefeated brash American wants to fight Pacquiao again. According to Arum, if the rematch will come to fruition, it will not have a lucrative purse as big as the money that the two welterweights made in their bout.

Arum was speaking to Michael Woods of RingTV.com ahead of the featherweight title clash between Nicholas Walters and Miguel Marriaga at the Madison Square Garden. He said that they will hop back in the boxing ring one more time if a rematch with Mayweather was offered.

"If he was smart, I would think he'd look to do a rematch, and then one more, but his body is breaking down, so maybe he leaves at 49-0," Arum said.

Mayweather still has one more fight left in his Showtime contract and it is anticipated that he will return to the squared circle in September, but Arum thinks otherwise. Arum said that Mayweather is his own boss. He said that Mayweather is the master of his fate adding that the Grand Rapids native fighter can simply opt not to fight in September and just enjoy all the money he has.

In the interview, Arum was also asked about his thoughts on the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. The 83-year-old veteran promoter said that the outcome of the bout should have been a draw. Still, he was adamant that his fighter won the fight. Arum scored the rounds seven to five in favour of Pacquiao.

Meanwhile, the Nevada State Athlete Commission has approved Mayweather's next fight date via ESPN's Dan Rafael. Mayweather will fight on September 12 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The opponent is yet to be named, but in a tweet by Los Angeles Times correspondent Lance Pugmire, he revealed that Olympic medalist Amir Khan and International Boxing Federation welterweight champion Kell Brook were the frontrunners for Mayweather's next fight. Pugmire said that the announcement will be made in the future.
