A recently leaked image of the next version of iPad showcased a lot of new features which the device will be equipped with. The device will offer a lot of upgraded features, including a new style of protective casing.

It was only a couple of months ago when a video was leaked on the Internet showcasing the features of the iPad Mini 4. There was a lot of debate on the device's outer shell at that time as well, The Latin Post reported.

It seemed to be made up of aluminum and resembled the casing of the existing current version of iPad Mini, along with come features inspired from iPad Air 2, said The International Business Times.

In addition to the casing, the leaked image shows other new features which will be present in iPad Mini 4. There will be a single row of pretty large speaker holes which will graze the Lightning port that is situated at the bottom of the device. This is in contrast with the presence of only two speaker holes, which is seen in the present day iPad Mini 3 and from its predecessors.

The earlier devices were equipped with much smaller speaker holes while the mute switch, which is present in all iPad devices, is removed from iPad Mini 4 and is replaced with a small microphone hole instead. It is said that this way, users can talk via Skype or Face Time Apps without the use of microphones as this increases the ease of use and the usability of the much anticipated device by a long shot. This feature was done to attract the business crowd, who may use an iPad Mini for business calls and other important meetings on-the-go.

The first iPad Mini was introduced in October 2012 and it established the industrial design in the market, which was later used in iPad Mini 2 and also iPad Mini 3 while the design also inspired the look for iPad Air and iPad Air 2.
