Reality star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West have hit a milestone - they've been married for 73 days. The union has lasted a day longer than Kardashian's marriage to NBA player, Kris Humphries.

Kardashian and West got married at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy on May 24.

In 2011, Kardashian married Humphries in August and filed for divorce from the athlete in October, prompting much ridicule for their brief marriage. Their short courtship, wedding and eventual 72-day marriage were all broadcasted on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".

The Kardashian-Humphries nuptials aired as a two-part special on E!

And the difference between then and now? West and Kardashian actually decided to keep their wedding secret.

So three years later, Kardashian is once again married and is now also a mother to toddler North West. To "celebrate" the 73 day-milestone, news publications featured the couple's 73-day wedded journey and people took to their social media accounts to "congratulate" the high-profile couple.

The Huffington Post featured the headliner "In shocking news, Kimye survived 72 days of marriage."

Radames Mateo Jr., a social media user, tweeted, "Happy 73 days of marriage for #KimYe @KimKardashian @kanyewest."

The couple is of course used to all the attention - despite denials, people believe that they even relish it.

From their quick courtship and marriage to the conception of their daughter, Kardashian and West continue to make headlines.

In a previous interview with GQ, West shared, "The concept of Kimye has more cultural significance than what Page Six could write."

West went on to elaborate that getting married and staying married requires a lot of work and that his relationship with Kardashian is seen by people as inspiring. He shared that individually, they aren't as inspiring as they are togather. "Saying 'Hey, I like Kim' isn't as inspiring to people as us getting married," he shared.
