After adding top defensive center Tyson Chandler this summer and missing out on All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge in free agency, the Phoenix Suns are reportedly pursuing New Orleans Pelicans' power forward Ryan Anderson in a bid to further beef up their frontcourt lineup, as reported by Arizona Sports.

Anderson is a sweet-shooting stretch four that offers potential offensive and defensive mismatches and could spread the floor effectively. Last season, the former California standout averaged a decent 13.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 36 minutes per night of play for the Pelicans as the backup for rising superstar Anthony Davis.

According to Bleacher Report, the 27-year-old veteran could provide the Suns a much-needed scoring spark and long-range shooting off the bench, especially at the power forward position. He finished tied for 20th in three-point shooting last season at 34 percent.

Meanwhile, the Suns continue their busy frontline tweaking as they are reportedly dangling the second of Morris' twins, power forward Markeiff, after trading brother Marcus together with small forward Danny Granger and shooting Reggie Bullock to the Detroit Pistons last week.

Reportedly, the purpose of the trade was to open up enough cap space as the team attempts an improbable chance to snag Aldridge. With the free agent forward opting to sign with the San Antonio Spurs, the Suns now look for other options at the no. 4 spot.

The four-year veteran Markeiff averaged a career-best 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game last season, as his playing time was significantly increased to almost 32 minutes a game. He was also able to play and start all 82 regular season games for the Suns in 2014-2015, but there are no interested trading partners as of yet for Phoenix.

Markeiff was said to be disgruntled by the news of his twin brother being shipped out and used social media to vent his frustrations. Furthermore, SB Nation said that the 6-foot-9 power forward had not been getting along well with head coach Jeff Hornacek which could really push him out of Phoenix.

Anderson, the 2012 NBA Most Improved Player, is the perfect replacement for Morris if indeed the plan to trade the latter pushes through. But even if the former Kansas standout stays, it is more likely that Anderson would get the starting nod over Morris.
