Hong Kong Girl Group Called As One Debuts in Korea, First Single 'Candy Ball'

K-Pop idols certainly get the attention from across the world, which is why it isn't the least bit surprising that some stars from neighboring countries cross over to Korea. The latest is Hong Kong girl group, As One, made of four members. The girl group is set to debut their single "Candy Ball" in Korea.

As One, whom of which should not be confused with the K-Pop duo, consists of four members namely Chloe, Kayan, Nata, and Shin. The foursome recently made their debut in Hong Kong with their songs "New Girl" and "Catch Me Up." Now, the group is set to conquer Korea this July.

"The Korean music industry is one of the finest in the world. It's an honor to have the opportunity to work with talented staff members in Korea. Please cheer us on as we make efforts to provide bubbly music in Korea," stated the agency of As One in a report by Soompi.

As for details on the members of the Hong Kong girl group, Nata was a former member of the Hong Kong national rhythmic gymnastics team. On the other hand, Shin, is the group's leader and is surprisingly part Korean.

For their Korean debut, the girl group will perform their dance single called "Candy Ball." The song has been described as TVReport as "magical and mystical with the charming sounds like a fairy tale." Contributing to the girl group's debut include Hong Won Ki of ZANYBROS, Lee Ki Yong Bae, Maybee, Seo Soo Kyung, and the WAWA Dance Team.

As One of Hong Kong isn't the only girl group to make it to today's headlines. Early this week, China announced their first all-girl group believed to be the biggest with approximately 56 members. 56 Flowers made their debut before the month of June ended.

"Look at our members, they possess plenty of youthful vigor unique to the Chinese people, unlike other idol groups that bank on marketized aesthetics to woo audiences," stated the art director in a report made by Chinatopix.
