The Undertaker vs. Sting may no longer be just a fantasy or something only playable on a console game as Wrestling Observer dropped a big hint of a potential blockbuster showdown between the Deadman and the Vigilante in WWE’s summer pay-per-view offering in August.

Summerslam is just around the corner, and the biggest names in sports entertainment is expected to descend upon the Barclays Center on August 23. But this year’s summer spectacle won’t be just any other night, because it could be the first and only time fans will see two wrestling legends sharing the same ring.

“Fans who are looking forward to seeing The Undertaker and Sting back in WWE storylines might not have to wait as long as they thought. According to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, both Undertaker and Sting are scheduled to appear at this year’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, via Sescoops.com.

Both the Undertaker and Sting took some hiatus after their appearance at Wrestlemania XXXI last March. The Deadman demolished Bray Wyatt to get back to winning ways after seeing his Wrestlemania snapped by the Brock Lesnar a year ago.

The icon, on the other hand, is coming off a loss to Triple H in a match that featured multiple WWE Hall of Famers and members of two most influential factions during the Attitude Era: the D-Generation X and the NWO.

It’s still unclear what role Undertaker and Sting will play at SummerSlam, but all directions are pointing to a surefire blockbuster clash between these legends. According to PWInsider, the Undertaker is scheduled to make the appearance right after Battleground in Kansas City while Sting could appear in the succeeding weeks.

Dream Stipulation for a Dream Match:

If this dream match eventually comes to fruition, it would be interesting what type of stipulation WWE would put these two ring gladiators in to make their once-in-a-lifetime encounter way more interesting.

Perhaps, there’s no better way to settle the score than a fight to the finish inside the 20-foot, five-ton demonic structure also known as Hell in a Cell. This kind of stipulation would very much give the Undertaker a significant edge over Sting as he the Deadman has been in 12 Hell in a Cell matches (winning six of these fights).

But don't count out the Vigilante. Sting has been in numerous carnage before and beating the Undertaker in his favorite game would only give him more motivation in the match for the ages.
