'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 2 In The Works; NetherRealm To Launch 'MKX' For The PS3, Xbox 360 By The End Of The Year?

According to reports from Gamerant, It looks like NetherRealm Studios will be fullfilling their promise of adding new characters in "Mortal Kombat X" in the form of the "Kombat Pack 2" DLC. It previously hinted several months back that other Mortal Kombat characters will be included in the game as playable characters such as Baraka, Rain, Sindel and Meat.

Baraka, Rain and Sindel appeared within "Mortal Kombat X's" storymode as NPC to which have to fight during the course of the story.

VG 24/7 reports the a developer from NetherRealm teased that the latest DLC character Tremor "the end of Kombat 1" suggesting the Kombat 2 will be in development very soon.

The Tremor DLC is currently available this week for players who have owned the Kombat Pack content within "Mortal Kombat X" while the standalone purchase will be on July 28.

The DLC contains three new character skins for Quan Chi, Jax and Kung Lao. There are also free Klassic fatalities for Mileena, Kitan, Kung Lao and Jax as well.

The Tremor pack is worth around £6.49 ($10 USD) in the PS Store, while its cost £6.39 (also $10) in the Xbox Market and £5.59 ($9 USD) via Steam for the PC.


A previous report from Screenrant also hinted a another set of guest characters and it is said that it could be Spawn, Ash Williams, Rorschach or Marcus Fenix.

"Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon also teased a possible story DLC in "Mortal Kombat X"  hinting Rain as a playable character, but it is not yet known whether this would happen soon, VG 24/7 noted.

IGN has already reached out to NetherRealm Studios regarding an update on the possible Kombat Pack 2 in "Mortal Kombat X" and so far, there are no feedbacks from them.

In other news, Yibada reportedly claimed that the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of "Mortal Kombat X" could launch later this year as it was hinted that NetherRealm supposed to release them this month.

It was previously reported that the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game was tentatively set on Dec. 31, 2015 via GameStaop perhaps the game could launch before the end of the year.

"Mortal Kombat X" is currently available in stores for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
