Huston mysteriously vanished 17 days ago after she told her husband that she was going out to run errands. After she didn't return, Huston's husband reported her missing.

On the day she disappeared, the 38-year-old woman was spotted in security footage entering a local pharmacy and purchasing Gatorade, trail mix, and a packet of sleeping pills.

An all-out search was launched as police and officials searched as far as the San Juan Islands for the missing woman.

After nearly two weeks, the search was called to a halt due to lack of progress. Just days later, a man found Huston's SUV on his property and called the police.

Authorities found her body around 40 yards away from her SUV which she had parked on a rural country road near the town of Sheridan.

Following the autopsy and in-depth investigation into her death, officials were able to confirm that Huston passed away close to the time she was reported missing.

The revelation came as a shock to Jennifer Huston's family who released a statement thanking authorities and volunteers for their hard work in searching for the young mother.

"We don't know what lead Jennifer to this dark place and to this end and perhaps never will understand this." The statement further said.

As to what led up to Huston's death, her family may never know, but they requested everyone respect their privacy as they begin the difficult process of mourning the death of Jennifer Huston.
