Den of Geek reports that Marvel Studios has revealed new cast members joining "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as "House of Cards" and "Entourage" actress Constance Zimmer will play an inhuman villain named Lash within the the show.

Lash's powers will include energy manipulation and will appear on the show's season 3 premiere episode. Ecumenical News further adds that Lash will be the leader of a mysterious agency that will clash with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hunt for the inhumans or other super powered beings across the globe.

The website reported that Blair Underwood will reprise his role as Andrew Garner, Melinda May's husband and Neurologist. Underwood's character has been promoted to a regular season cast due to the fact the Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) was absorbed by the Kree stone at the end of season 2.

Aside from the new cast members, Moviepilot reportedly claimed that three new characters are added to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 as members of Skye's (Chloe Bennet) Secret Warriors team. These characters are Slingshot, Sebastian Druid and Stonewall.

Slingshot in the comics has superhuman speed, while Sebastian Druid practices various mystical arts and Stonewall has superhuman strength and invulnerability.

The website adds that the inhuman Lincoln (Luke Mitchell), the cyborg Deathlok (J. August Richards), and Bobbi Morse (Andrianne Palicki) will be part of Secret Warriors team as well.

Lastly, Gospel Herald reports that Brett Dalton's character Grant Ward would be the new head of HYDRA, after he declared that he wants his own team to fight Phil Coulson's S.H.I.E.L.D. and began recruiting names to join his new organization by the end of season 2.

A previous report from KDramastar claimed that Grant Ward could be this versions Taskmaster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the origin of the villain in comics revealed that he was a former SHIELD sleeper agent. Perhaps season 3 would be the start of Ward's path to being Taskmaster and lead HYDRA to make Coulson's life miserable.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 will premiere on Sept. 29, 2015 on ABC.
